    About the Area

    Avalon is less than 20 miles away from downtown Austin and is just a few minutes to Round Rock. When it comes to living the “Austin lifestyle”, Pflugerville is no exception. Events like ‘Music in the Park’ and the Lake Pflugerville Triathlon, along with access to the amazing parks, great golfing, restaurants, and upscale shopping, provide endless activities for everyone. Pflugerville ISD has some of the highest rated schools in the area.

    Texas State University, The University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College are all nearby for continuing your education.

    Recreation

    Pflugerville parks offer two great pools, summer camp, forestry programs, many classes and lessons and a first class recreation center. Down the road from the community you will also find the links-style 18-hole Championship Black Hawk Golf Club featuring a course that challenges all levels of golfers.

    Students at Avalon will attend some of the highest rated schools in the area within Pflugerville ISD. Pflugerville high schools offer dual-credit courses in conjunction with Austin Community College, including some Career and Technical Education courses, and PISD also sponsors summer enrichment programs for K-12 students.
