Am I eligible?
Qualified existing homeowners thinking about moving into a Del Webb home may be eligible for an up to $6,500 federal tax credit. If you have owned and resided in the same home for five consecutive years during the last eight years, you may qualify.
Are there any limitations?
Yes. For example, the modified adjusted gross income limit for individual taxpayers is $125,000; for joint filers, it is $225,000. Also, to qualify for the tax credit, the price of the home being purchased cannot exceed $800,000. There are additional restrictions, limitations and qualifications. How long does the program last?
