About Our Community
Whether they’re part of a smaller, more intimate setting or a large resort-style community, amenities are one way that Del Webb encourages residents to realize their full potential as individuals and as members of a community. Amenities are more than buildings and pools and fitness centers; they are invitations to meet your neighbors and explore new interests.
At Sun City Texas those opportunities present themselves in myriad ways all across this incredible resort-style community. The Village Center spans an amazing 86,000 square feet and is home to indoor and outdoor amenities of every kind: a fitness center, pools, men’s and women’s locker rooms, arts and crafts, bocce ball, tennis courts, a ballroom, and a multi-purpose facility with several large game rooms for bridge, dominoes, you name it.
We’ve also recently opened our third golf course, Cowan Creek, a beautiful layout highlighted by cascading waterfalls, breathtaking landscapes, and fairways and greens that work with the natural character of the land.
The 5,000 square foot open-air Legacy Hills Pavilion is home to many neighborhood gatherings. The 5,000 square foot pavilion overlooks Berry Creek Lake, where a scenic nine mile network of hiking trails begins, threading through wooded areas where wildlife is plentiful.
The Woodworkers Club operates the Sun City Woodshop. At almost 4,000 feet, the woodshop is state-of-the-art and features some of the finest woodworking equipment available.

Meet your Lifestyle Director
Sondra Carlton leads the Communications/Activities team at Sun City Texas. Sondra, CA Manager of Communications and Activities has been with Del Webb for 13 years and oversees activities, the monthly publication, resident directory, web portal, TV Channel and weekly email communications keeping the residents informed of all issues and aware of all activities planned by the Community Association. Kristin is young and energetic and works closely with a resident team in planning outings which are most always sold out. She brings the best of on-site activities, extended travel, and more to our Sun City residents. Sondra loves her job and is committed to her mission "To provide timely, high quality and cost effective communications and activities adding value to our residents’ lifestyle and enhancing a sense of community." Sondra takes this mission seriously and is 100% focused on Sun City Texas residents.

Choose from rug hooking, bridge, tennis, woodworking, dominoes, painting, china painting, photography, hiking, stained glass, bocce, pickle ball, softball, horticulture, gardening, and more. Crafts
The clubhouse is the perfect place to perfect your hobby. Our woodshop has all the tools and machinery to build something simple, or more complex depending on your skills. Throw a pot, paint a still life, make a gift of jewelry to give, or capture memories in a scrapbook. Indulge your creativity!

PGA Hall of Famer Billy Casper and architect Greg Nash designed one of the best golf courses in Texas — Sun City's Legacy Hills. Our second championship golf course, White Wing, is also among the best. Both provide enjoyment and challenge for beginners and experts alike, as well as offering full-service dining facilities for additional enjoyment. Be sure to play the latest course to join Sun City Texas — Cowan Creek. Transportation
Getting around is easy with CARTS curb-to-curb service, provided Tuesdays and Thursdays. Prior reservation is needed and the charge is just $1.00 each way.

It’s called the Vacation Getaway, and it’s our way of making you feel at home. During your 1 or 2 night stay you’ll put your feet up in a fully furnished villa for only $99 a night. (There’s even a golf cart in the garage.)
