About the Area
In addition to a myriad of amenities provided at Lake Providence, you’ll find that Mt. Juliet is less than half an hour from Nashville and is an ideal jumping-off point for leisure activities, sports, entertainment, cultural venues, and retail therapy in the surrounding area.
Shopping
Lake Providence residents will also find it easy to drive, walk, or bike to the new Providence MarketPlace, an 830,000 square foot retail and entertainment omnicenter at the entrance to the master-planned community. It includes Kroger (grocery store), Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, JCPenney’s, PetSmart, Providence 14 Cinema, Best Buy, Belk, JoAnn’s, Ross, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Old Navy, Books-A-Million, Panera Bread, and many more restaurants. In addition, a one million square foot shopping center anchored by Lowe’s and Wal-Mart are planned nearby. If you’d like to venture to Nashville, you’ll find plenty of shopping at the Mall at Green Hills. And, should you wander down to the Brentwood/Cool Springs area, The Galleria has even more. Bargain hunters will want to visit the Opry Mills Mall and the Prime Outlets located east in Lebanon.
Recreation
Beyond the wide variety of activities organized by the full-time Lifestyle Director, the recreation options for all Lake Providence residents are truly endless. If golf is your game, Old Hickory Golf and Country Club, Pine Creek, and Windtree golf courses are located a short distance away. All three offer our residents a considerable discount to become members, or you can simply play a round of golf. There are an additional 42 golf courses in the region to choose from. For those who enjoy spending time in the outdoors, Long Hunter State Park is located within five miles of Lake Providence and offers seven different trails that will satisfy a wide variety of hiking experiences. Lake Providence is located between two popular recreational lakes, Old Hickory and J. Percy Priest. Both are perfect for boating and fishing. Other state parks offer swimming, hiking, fishing, wildlife observation, horseback riding, and much more. In addition to the five miles of walking/jogging trails within Lake Providence, Nashville Greenways offer additional miles of walking, jogging, and biking opportunities. Greenways are linear parks and trails connecting neighborhoods to parks that provide barrier-free access to natural resources and recreation.
Medical
Within five miles of the community is Tennessee Sports Medicine & Orthopedics, the closest urgent care facility in the area. Beyond Mt. Juliet, residents will find Summit Medical Center, located in Hermitage, which is a part of HCA’s TriStar system. Downtown Nashville offers Saint Thomas Hospital, which is one of the nation’s top five cardiac-care centers. Vanderbilt University Medical Center and The Vanderbilt Clinic have a world-class reputation for excellence that is unsurpassed in the region. The University’s School of Medicine was ranked 15th among medical research schools in 2005 by “U.S. News and World Report” and it claims two Nobel laureates on its faculty.
Culture / Entertainment
There is a lot more to Nashville than country music! Whether you are a first time visitor, long time resident, or relocating to the area, you will not be disappointed by the cultural diversity that now calls Nashville home. Cultural arts can be explored through The Nashville Ballet, The Nashville Symphony at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, concerts and Broadway musicals at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, independent films along with outdoor museums, parks, and sports. Jim and Linda Curtis
"After visiting Del Webb communities in three different states, we found it difficult to move away from our home state of Tennessee where our family resides. It was a dream come true when we learned that Del Webb was coming to Mount Juliet, TN. We were one of the first to move into our new home. We have the best of both worlds....our family close by and our extended family of the Del Webb Lake Providence neighbors."
Loyda Henderson
"Del Webb fits my life style because there are always so many activities for the residents and so many nice people!. There are parties almost every month, activities, outings, and socials every Friday night.
We came to Nashville just after my husband and I retired to visit our daughter and saw an advertisement for a new Del Webb here in Nashville. We toured the site plan and fell in love with the different floor plans, with the plan for the Clubhouse and everything that they had to offer. We came back the very next day and put a down payment on our house.
We've been here a year and a half now and we will never leave! Everyone here is so nice and Del Webb is a great place to live if you want to be active and meet the friendliest people. We would recommend Del Webb to any one who is looking for a place to enjoy the best time of their lives."
Mark and Martha Nelson
"We could not be happier with Del Webb, Lake Providence, and our life here. Thank you, Del Webb, for being such an outstanding company with the most professional people representing you. We would do it all over again, and that's saying something!"
Ann Kozy
"I wasn’t even looking for a new home. I only went with a friend who was thinking of buying one. But I fell in love with the beauty and the functionality of the whole Del Webb complex and the layouts of the homes. I just love my new home—especially being on one floor! It is the perfect space for me and I’m using all of it much more than I did my previous home. The building process was very easy and my building supervisor stayed in constant contact with me, explaining everything that was happening as well as what would happen. Everyone here is so friendly—the Del Webb representatives, the Pulte people and of course the residents. How does it get any better than this?"
