Whether they’re part of a smaller, more intimate setting or a large resort-style community, amenities are one way that Del Webb encourages residents to realize their full potential as individuals and as members of a community. Amenities are more than buildings and pools and fitness centers; they are invitations to meet your neighbors and explore new interests.

At Chesapeake those opportunities present themselves in the state-of-the-art fitness center, the business center, sharing library, billiards and dart room, cards and game room, and arts and crafts center. Outdoor amenities include a 25-meter pool with veranda, tennis courts, a putting green, picnic area, gazebo, ponds, pocket parks and a walking trails.

Chesapeake has a full-time lifestyle director on hand to coordinate activities and events for residents.  Please read below for more information about Donna Warner!

"My name is Donna Warner and here is my story! I was born & raised in the area, went away for college and came back as I thoroughly enjoy living on the Eastern Shore.  My husband, feeling the same way,  and I wanted to raise a family “back home” so we live about one half mile away.   We have two children, Julie who is 7 years old and Brian who is 4 years old.

When I started working at Chesapeake in 2005, the homeowners immediately took to our children as they were the ages of their grandchildren.  My age as well as our children’s has made such a terrific relatable situation with the homeowners that the give and take is like you would have in a family.  These homeowners are my family and they make me feel like I have been adopted.  As a matter of fact, I told my mother to take a day off as I have over 400 sets of parents but she said “no can do”.

My past experience includes working as the Fitness Director at the Talbot County YMCA after graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from Ball State University.  During my five-year tenure at the YMCA, I co-founded the Active Older Adult Department and co-coordinated all of the field trips, programs, and seminars.  The time I spent there was without a doubt one of the most satisfying times in my life.  I also worked locally in the accounting field for nine years up until the day my son was born.

I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, sports, and meeting people.  I also enjoy spending time with the homeowners as they have always made me feel welcomed!"

Clubs and Classes

Chesapeake by Del Webb offers clubs and activities for everyone! In addition to the formal clubs that have been organized, there are also many informal activities that take place at the community including cards, bunco, bowling, Mexican train, bridge, bingo canasta and more.

Crafts

Express your creativity or find a new passion with the arts and crafts works areas provided at our clubhouse.

Fitness

Not only is there a state-of-the-art fitness center at Chesapeake, we’ll also help you stay active and fit with classes in the aerobics studio, a tennis match on the tennis courts, or join one of our fitness clubs for support and motivation.

Game Room

If cards are your game of choice, Chesapeake has a number of card clubs including poker, bridge, gin rummy, and others. Or, spend an afternoon at Mah Jongg, or racking ‘em up on the billiards tables.

Golf

Get set for a day on the local links-brush up your form at our onsite putting green.

Parks

The Chesapeake community has many “green” features, including pocket parks scattered throughout the layout for your use and enjoyment.

Pool

Swimming is a wonderful form of low-impact exercise. Our 25-meter pool is outfitted with lap lanes for your daily aquatic workout.
