Meet Your Lifestyle Director
My name is Shannon Johnson and I am thrilled to be the Lifestyle Director at Sun City Anthem at Merrill Ranch. Residents of Sun City are outgoing, energetic and very involved. I am always excited to meet new residents and help them find the perfect activities that match their lifestyle. This community has amazing residents that have touched my life and I consider myself truly lucky to work with them.
With 10 years of experience and a Business Marketing bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix, I have found my passion for event coordinating. I worked for the City of Tempe’s award winning before and after school program, as well as the Kyrene School District’s after school program for a combined total of seven years. I then moved on to an asset management company in Scottsdale, Arizona where I worked for three years. It was here that I was able to really make a difference in people’s lives. I was involved in the creation of free educational, health, and recreational events and activities to the residents of low income apartment communities and named Director of the Social Programs Department. I was able to travel frequently as we had communities in Oklahoma, Texas, and Arizona.
I am a member of the branch board of the Tempe-Ladmo Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley, the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association as well as the International Festival and Event Association. I have always enjoyed working with people, planning functions, and being part of a team. I look forward to helping Sun City’s club and event selections continue to grow and move forward. This truly is my dream job, and I could not be happier to work for such a wonderful community.
