About the Area
Historic Manassas is close to many of the area attractions, including Nissan Pavilion and Old Town Manassas. A convenient location just off Prince William Parkway means homeowners have easy access to Routes 66, 28, and 95. It's also moments from two Virginia Railway Express commuter stations that offer weekday rail service into Alexandria, Arlington, and Washington, DC.

Shopping
The closet shopping to Mayfield Trace is Manassas Mall which features over 100 stores including Macy's, Target, and H&M. Specialty shops like Ross and Best Buy line the streets of Business-234, while antique lovers will rejoice at the sight of Antique Corridor along Route 28. The Potomac Mills Mall is a bargain-hunter's haven with over 200 stores including many factory outlets (Polo Ralph Lauren, Gap, and Brooks Brothers to name a few), CostCo, and IKEA.
Recreation
Manassas is home to several aquatics facilities including Signal Bay Waterpark, Splash Down Waterpark, and Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center. Golfers can head to one of 15 Prince William County golf courses, and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball, horseshoes, and afternoon picnics at Ben Lomond Regional Park.

Culture / Entertainment
There is a little something for everyone in Old Town Manassas which features art galleries, antiques, crafts, and turn-of-the-century architecture. It is the ideal setting for events and festivals including the Farmers Market, Fall Jubilee, and Merry Old Town Weekends. Manassas National Battlefield Park commemorates two Civil War battles that were fought on the 5,000-acre grounds. Manassas Museum highlights the impact of the Civil War on the area and describes early settlement in the region. Nissan Pavilion is a quick drive from the community and offers seasonal concerts from May through October.
Transportation
If you want to avoid the morning commute into Washington, DC, sit back, relax, and enjoy the morning paper on the Virginia Railway Express. The VRE provides weekday transportation into Washington, DC and select Northern Virginia locations. There are two stations near Mayfield Trace, Manassas, and Manassas Park. In addition, OmniLink provides bus service within Prince William County.
Schools
Mayfield Trace is located in the Prince William County School District, so your children have access to Bennett Elementary School, Parkside Middle School, and Stonewall Jackson High School.
