Spring Hill residents have the unique opportunity to live next to the innovative Laurel Hill Park, which is being redeveloped by the Lorton Arts Foundation and the Fairfax County Park Authority. One of the high-profile amenities of Laurel Hill Park is the Workhouse Arts Center. This new facility is slated to include art and dance studios, music rooms, and galleries. Future plans envision adding garden habitats, recreation areas, restaurant facilities, and possibly even lofts where artists can live and work.

Medical

There are multiple area hospitals in close proximity to Spring Hill. The new Lorton INOVA Healthplex, is just down the street from Spring Hill. For non-emergency issues, Lorton Urgent Care is close by. Area hospitals include Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge and INOVA Mount Vernon in Alexandria.

Recreation

Fairfax County has 30,000 vast acres of parkland for area residents to enjoy! Nearby Pohick Regional Park offers a variety of activities including boating, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, golf, hiking, and camping. This water-oriented park provides a rare public access point to the Potomac River. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy living next door to the beautiful new Laurel Hill Golf Club, and the Burke Lake Golf Course is just down the street.

The shopping needs of Spring Hill homeowners are sure to be satisfied by the many malls in Northern Virginia! Several new shopping centers in Lorton offer easy access to everyday conveniences. Nearby is the Springfield Mall, which features over 230 stores and is anchored by Macy's, JCPenney, and Target. Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge is a bargain-hunter's haven with over 200 stores including many factory outlets. You'll also find Costco and IKEA there. Tysons Corner Mall in McLean is one of the world's largest malls. Arlington's pristine Fashion Centre at Pentagon City boasts an extensive collection of fine stores.

Transportation

Sit back, relax, and enjoy a leisurely read or a quick nap on the Virginia Railway Express! The VRE provides transportation into Washington, DC and select northern Virginia locations. The Lorton VRE Station is just a few minutes from your neighborhood. Lorton is one of only two area stations that serves Amtrak's Auto Train, which carries passengers and their vehicles non-stop to central Florida. Nearby airports include the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington County, and the Washington Dulles International Airport in Chantilly. Bus service is provided by the Fairfax County Connector.
