Nearby Hamilton Pool Preserve is nature preserve converted from a historic swimming hole at the base of a 50-foot waterfall. The Austin Parks and Recreation Department also oversees more than 16,682 acres of land containing 206 parks, 12 preserves (sanctuaries for native plants, native animals and unique natural features), and 26 greenbelts (parkland on creeks and canyons) for you to explore.
