The Pointe at Sterling Lakes in Pepper Pike is in the highly-acclaimed Orange City School District. The Orange Schools were nationally recognized in 2009 as a top ten ranking school district in the sixth annual Digital School Districts Survey. Orange is the only district in Ohio to achieve this honor. Moreland Hills Elementary School was selected as an Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators (OAESA) Hall of Fame School for 2003. Ballard Brady Middle School was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a 2001-2002 Blue Ribbon School. Brady was the only middle school in northeastern Ohio to earn this distinction. The Blue Ribbon Schools Program has focused on school improvement initiatives. It identifies and recognizing schools that are models of excellence and equity, schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to educational excellence for all students, and that achieve high academic standards or have shown significant academic improvement over five years. Orange High School has received Tier One status in the Ohio Award for Excellence (OAE), the state of Ohio's premier award program recognizing the positive impact of quality. The OAE issues this award to a handful of organizations each year for their commitment to quality. The award is open to all organizations in business, education, health care, government and not-for-profit sectors. There are four tiers within the OAE. Orange High School achieved Tier One status and in the future will strive to move onto the other three tiers.
